Yes. some do have a removable plug. the hole off of the one I have was covered in wax.

There is no removable plug, but I have seen and heard of people drilling the glass to accept a downstem and bowlpiece. the only problem is the mouth piece is tapered down under the cap, making it difficult to actually place your lips inside like a normal water pipe.
give it a try, many headshops in California have been introducing cheap bottle waterpipes made from various alcohol makers, corona bottles, jack daniels, etc.

a buddy of mine has the vodka bong. you do have to drill it yourself but son when that thing is rippin it’ll knock ya down a peg

if you try to drill through glass chances are you will shatter it. first put a couple of layers of tape down where you want your hole. 2nd submerge the bottle and then drill. Do not put a lot of pressure down and go very very slow.

Get a diamond edged bit. 5/8 in bit for $10 on ebay. It won’t shatter, iv’e done the crystal head bottle and big al’s gun bottle. I just filled the sink with cold water and submerged the bottle while drilling. DONT USE A REGS DRILL BIT!

My friend and I both made water pipes out of the bong vodka bottles. It took a little practice on a pickle jar to get the glass drill just right, but once we figured it out it worked great. We used the diamond edged bit to drill through the glass, used a dremel tool to grind out the hole in the lid, and then took the clean piece up to a local head shop and had it fitted with a shaved glass stem and bowl. I haven’t had any problems with mine except that the lid that we drilled through is starting to crack a little, so be careful when you’re drilling into the plastic (or just unscrew the top and use the mouthpiece inside). Great piece! =)
