I’m overcome with great sadness to announce that this will be the final Playlistings mixtape to release. Some of you may have noticed that past links have been removed by the RIAA because of copyright infringements. Although the VivdUnderground and the DKALife attempt to bring you each day’s newest worry-free tracks that circumnavigate the globe within seconds each day in a legal manner, we can’t guarantee that each track doesn’t slip through the cracks and somehow inevitably prevents a multi-millionaire from making that down payment on a Bentley covered in gold. Despite coming under fire from an organization that reminds me of the last few hours of a horrible episode of diarrhea (the aforementioned R.I.A.A. for the slow kids in class); Playlistings Volume 10 drops in a very pissed off fashion. Eat it up world, because apparently T-Pain has another BIG ASS CHAIN to buy.

Well it’s that time of the year again. School is back in session.

MSU Snowboard Club Goes Underground

Finally.

For those of you who don’t know, I’m an avid shredder upon the ol’ snowboard and naturally I had to jump on MSU’s 2010 Club shirts, not just because I love snowboarding, but because I knew it would be an awesome project.

My fellow shredder and good buddy, Chad, threw the project at me a few weeks ago…shit took off like a storm. A blizzard actually.  Despite me being physically deprived of internet for almost a month, Chad and I were able to make ends meet and help this season’s MSU SBC club shirts become something to reckon with. Props to Nathan Urban for providing some reverse side graphic genius.

A HUGE shoutout to Chad, Nathan, and the entire MSU SBC family, ya’ll are too much! Good luck on an awesome year, Park City is going to shit their snowpants.

Playlistings Volume 4 has dropped. The cover design I might add; has been in development from the start of Playlistings (back in June). Literally getting tweaks every night accompanied by my Vitamin Water infused concoctions. Not really, that’s gross, but seriously.

While 50 Cent does NOT make an appearance on this mixtape, you’ll get your recommended daily dosage of Vitamin OG.  We’ve got some sophomore leaks, some tunes from the veterans getting the itch, and some fresh squeezed Underground jams. Playlistings: An Introduction

With great delight, I’d like to introduce a new collaborative project through the world of music and graphic design titled, “Playlistings.”

The Vivid Underground has recently linked up with The DKA Life to bring you a constant flow of brand new hip-hop music combined with all-original “mixtape” covers as often as we can.  The music is certified fresh and hand-picked straight from the vines around the interweb each day.  The Playlistings mixtapes will be a shared release through both blogs for now, but we are actively looking for additional blogs to help market/feature the downloads. Who knows, maybe even an exclusive website someday?

THINGS TO EXPECT:

-Brand new hip-hop music from today’s hottest artists, as well as selected up-and-coming artists.

-Easy download of .ZIP file that includes mp3 files, track listing, and original cover artwork. Virus-free of course.

-Releases hopefully every two weeks, but realistically expect at least 1 every month.

THINGS TO BE AWARE OF:

-All music is legal to download (to our knowledge) via free artist mixtapes/official leaked tracks.

-All artwork is being released under a Creative Commons License (Attribution-Noncommercial-NoDerivs).

-All music is individually available after a simple Google search. We’re just making it easy to share our favorite music with ya’ll and having fun doing it.

UACTP: The Lost Files (PREVIEW?)

Some of you may be familiar with the handful of posters I released a while back under the title “The UAC Tabloid Project.” What you didn’t know is that there were several that I chose not to release, due to their very personal and somewhat inappropriate subject matter.

Well it’s been a weird past few weeks and I have been thinking it might be “about that time” all of a sudden. But who knows? Maybe I’ll change my mind and never release the posters befittingly titled, “The Lost Files.”

Aside from my uncertainty, here’s one I call, “Plagued” that I’ll leave you to think about.
